About Us
Since 1983, we have been serving the areas of Platte and Clay counties and over time have now branched our all across the Kansas City metropolitan area selling quality batteries at wholesale pricing!
Randy Best and his father, Bernie Best, started this business in the basement of their home off of Hwy 9 selling reconditioned batteries to car dealers. In 1983, these batteries sold for $14.95!
In August 1993, after the flood. Best Battery moved to Riverside across from Red X. Once the parks began their building, Best Battery made their way into North Kansas City!
Their first location in North Kansas City was the picture to the left at 1706 Burlington.
Best Battery moved in July of 2014 to their current location of 1112 Swift Street where Randy and his son, Cody are building an empire of batteries.

In July of 2007, Cody Best, Randy's son, joined the Best Battery family to someday inherit the business. Like a good businessman would, he began his journey in the warehouse learning the ins and outs of every position thoroughly. He has spent the years to come taking steps in management to taking the title of Operations Manager this year, 2023.
Cody not only keeps the warehouse running efficiently but maintains a happy helpful smile to every customer and guest that comes in our doors everyday!
